A'sher-Ahavatah חℶהℵ—רשℵ
(Who You Love)

I was taught, when I was a child, of Abraham's dedication to G-d. Of how he climbed a mountain with his only child, brought a knife to his throat, only to be saved by an angel.
I was taught of the loyalty of Isaac, obedience past the point of trust and unto death.
The story of a son tied to an altar, a metal blade gleaming against the midmorning sun, the moment of realization when certainty must've cut through his love; this, he must've thought
is when my father kills me.
